Used to temper domestic water to safe temperatures to prevent scalding. This unit is adjustable from 120 °F to 160°F and will flow up to 12 GPM. It features 3/4" sweat connections. A tempering valve is commonly used when installing an outdoor wood or corn furnace. With domestic hot water heat exchangers, hot water in an existing hot water heater tank can reach temperatures well above 160°F no problem.
